This International Standard defines the different types of inspection documents supplied to the purchaser, in accordance with the requirements of the order, for the delivery of metallic products.
This International Standard is to be used in conjunction with other International Standards which specify the general technical delivery conditions:
— for steel and steel products, see ISO 404;
— for steel castings, see ISO 4990.
NOTE This International Standard may also apply to non-metallic products. If this standard is applied to products other than steel, ISO 404 can be used, if applicable.
This International Standard applies to dimensional and shape tolerances for all hot-rolled steel sheet products.
Note Hot-rolled steel strip and hot-rolled heavy thickness steel sheet coils are not covered by this International Standard.
This European Standard defines the steel grades of grain-oriented electrical strip and sheet in nominal thicknesses of 0,23 mm, 0,27 mm, 0,30 mm and 0,35 mm and specifies in particular, general requirements, magnetic properties, geometric characteristics and tolerances and technological characteristics, as well as inspection procedures.
This European Standard applies to Goss textured grain-oriented electrical sheet and strip supplied in the final annealed condition in sheets or coils, and intended for the construction of magnetic circuits.
The materials are grouped into two classes :
a) conventional grain oriented material ;
b) high permeability grain oriented material .
They correspond to Clause C.22 of IEC 60404-1:2000.
This International Standard defines terms for steel products according to their:
a) stage of manufacture;
b) shape and dimensions;
c) appearance.
NOTE 1 Although the products are generally defined independently of their end uses or manufacturing processes, it has sometimes been necessary to make reference to these criteria.
NOTE 2 All dimensions given in this International Standard are nominal.
This International Standard applies to hot-rolled carbon steel sheet of commercial and drawing qualities. Hot-rolled steel sheet is suitable for many applications where the presence of oxide or scale, or normal
surface imperfections disclosed after removal of oxide or scale, are not objectionable. It is not suitable for
applications where the surface is of prime importance.
NOTE This International Standard does not cover steel sheet that is to be subjected to subsequent rerolling.
